What Kind of Bag Do I Need?
While some natural areas hand out bag kits containing thing like inner bags and outer bags, these kits are not necessary! Popular alternatives include plastic grocery bags, reusing bags that previously contained food or other products, food storage bags and my personal favorite, dog poo bags. The recommended minimum measurements for a bag to line the Original go2™ is 9″x12″.
“Poop and Scoop” Technique
Just like picking up after a dog, this method works in a pinch but often leaves a trace on the ground or snow, especially with softer consistency poop.
“Direct Deposit” (aka “Target Practice”) Technique
Just like it sounds, this means pooping directly into the bag. The cleanest and neatest way to blue bag, this more advanced method is now accessible to all with the go2™. You no longer have to worry about holding the bag by hand, or setting it down at the mercy of slippery snow slopes and errant breezes. Squishy poop? No problem! Packing it Out
There are variety of methods for packing out your poo once you’ve bagged it. Most people place the bag into another larger and more durable container for the remainder of your trip, typically one big enough for several uses. This may be a sturdy Ziploc-type bag, a Pringles container or a tennis ball tube. You can use whatever you like!
